Our commitment

Decurion is committed to making this website and the Decurion service usable by as many people as possible, including people with disabilities.

Standards we aim for

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA and the Section 508 standards. We design and test against them from the start, not as a final check.

Keyboard and focus

  • We design every action to work with a keyboard alone.
  • Focus is shown as a solid outline that contrasts with its background.
  • A skip link jumps straight to the main content on every page.
  • Buttons and links are large enough to hit easily, at least 44 by 44 pixels where we can.

Color and contrast

  • Body text is designed to meet at least a 4.5 to 1 contrast ratio against its background.
  • We do not rely on color alone to show meaning; labels and text carry it too.
  • Light and dark themes are designed to the same contrast rules.
  • Motion is kept small and stops when your device asks for reduced motion.

Screen readers

  • Pages use real headings, lists, and landmarks, so they can be navigated by structure.
  • Images that carry meaning have text alternatives; decorative art is hidden from assistive technology.
  • Form fields have visible labels and clear error messages that are announced.

Kiosk and read-aloud

The lobby kiosk is built for people with a wide range of needs. It can read each screen aloud, uses large text and large touch targets, and lets a person ask for help from staff at any step instead of finishing alone.

Plain language

We write in short, plain sentences. Forms ask one thing at a time, and returning people are asked only what has changed. Organizations can edit their own questions so they read the way their community speaks.

Known limitations

These are the gaps we know of today:

  • Some documents uploaded by organizations, such as scanned PDFs, may not be fully accessible.
  • Video visits depend on the accessibility of the device and browser in use.
  • Third-party content linked from the service is outside our control.

We track each known issue and work to fix it. This list will change as we do.

Report a barrier

If something gets in your way, please tell us. Write to hello@godecurion.com with the page or screen, what you were trying to do, and the device or assistive technology you use, if you are comfortable sharing it.

A person will reply, and we will offer another way to get what you need while we fix it.
